Real Madrid visit the Lusail stadium for the first time, where they will be looking to win the Intercontinental Cup. The biggest stadium in Qatar, with a capacity of around 89,000 spectators, it was built to host matches in the last World Cup. Officially opened in September 2022, it hosted ten World Cup matches, including the final and one of the semi-finals. It has also hosted two Asian Cup matches, the final and one group-stage match.

This modern multi-purpose venue stands in the city of Lusail, 20 kilometres from Doha. The stadium's silver-coloured roof, covered with solar panels, is retractable. The exterior, covered with a golden coating, is reminiscent of the decorative motifs on the containers that are characteristic of Arabian craftsmanship. The stadium also has a cooling system to cope with Qatar's high temperatures.
