Real Madrid picked up another three points against Getafe in LaLiga. With two goals in the first half, our team settled the game. Bellingham got the first from a penalty on the half-hour mark, before Mbappé scored the second eight minutes later with a fine strike from outside the area after a great team move. Both sides had chances in the second half, but the scoreline remained the same. It was the third consecutive win in the league for our team.
The first half was played at a very high tempo, although not many chances were created. The two best opportunities came from long-range shots from Lucas Vázquez in the 18th minute and from Juan Iglesias in the 27th minute. The breakthrough came on the half-hour mark. Rodrygo swung in a corner and Rüdiger was brought down inside the box by Nyon. Bellingham slotted home the penalty with his right foot to make it 1-0. The goal led to our team's best spell of the game, as they extended the lead in a quick attacking transition. Bellingham provided the assist in the 38th minute for Mbappé to finish expertly from outside the box. The half-time whistle went with the score at 2-0 and Ancelotti‘s side looking solid and not giving their opponents any chances.
Chances
The tempo stayed high after the break and the chances came and went. Hernández Hernández awarded a penalty in the 50th minute for a handball by Berrocal after a shot by Mbappé, but the penalty was overturned when reviewed on the monitor. The French forward linked up with Brahim two minutes later, who controlled the ball with his chest, but his lob in the six-yard box went over. Getafe hit back three minutes later. Carles Perez shot and Courtois punched clear, the rebound fell to the Getafe midfielder, who fed Uche and his half-volley struck the post.

The minutes passed and with 72 on the clock, Valverde could have made it 3-0 with a powerful shot from the edge of the area after a lovely move, but Soria kept it out with a superb save. Mbappé was one-on-one with the visitors' goalkeeper two minutes later, but the ball didn't find the back of the net. The two players came up against each other again in the 77th minute, and the keeper came out on top in the one-on-one.

Crossbar and then the post
Ancelotti ‘s men had had more than enough chances to close out the game, but Getafe also came close in the 83rd minute with Patrick's left-footed shot, hitting the crossbar and then the post. Mbappé could have grabbed a deserved brace in stoppage time, but his left-footed effort from just inside the six-yard box went wide. A third consecutive La Liga win for Real Madrid, who have now closed the gap on Barcelona by eight points in three games and have a game in hand.
