93 years since Madrid's first league title

Real Madrid celebrate 93 years since their first LaLiga title. On 3 April 1932, the Whites earned their first league title with a 2-2 draw at Barcelona on the last matchday of the season. Lazcano and Luis Regueiro were on target for the Madridistas in the match. The competition, which featured 10 clubs, ended with Real Madrid in first place with 28 points and without losing a single match. They were followed by Athletic (25) and Barcelona (24).
Real Madrid were the team that conceded the fewest goals in the competition (15 goals) and Ricardo Zamora became the first Madridista goalkeeper to win the trophy that now bears his name. This award was introduced in the 1958/59 season, although Marca newspaper symbolically recognised the goalkeepers who conceded the fewest goals in previous seasons. Olivares topped the list as the team's top scorer in that edition with 10 goals. Hungarian Lippo Hertzka was the coach of the first LaLiga crown for Madrid. 92 years after that title, Real Madrid dominate the competition's honours list with 35 LaLiga titles.
