Castilla finish all square against Sevilla Atlético

7 hour(s)

Real Madrid Castilla clinched a point against Sevilla Atlético on Primera Federación matchday 27. Our boys enjoyed the greater chances in the game but were foiled time and again by an impressive display from the visiting goalkeeper. It was a demanding clash between two teams who came to the Alfredo Di Stéfano level on points, but the result means Raúl's lads are still unbeaten in 2025, and are just two points off the promotion playoff places.

The madridistas were the stronger of the two sides in the first half, but Alberto Flores stood firm to repel chance after chance. In the early stages he closed the angle well to keep out Víctor Muñoz when one-on-one. Shortly afterwards, he got his fingertips to a fierce Youssef effort from the edge of the box. Then on 35 minutes, Gonzalo tried his luck with a header but the goalkeeper once again came to Sevilla Atlético's rescue with an impressive diving save.

The second half followed much the same script. Castilla looked for the opener, with the Seville-based team relying on their goalkeeper's reflexes to stay in the match. The best chance of the game for our boys came with a double opportunity on 66'. Jalade cleared Borja Alonso's effort off the line, and the ball fell to Gonzalo, but Flores managed to clasp the ball in his hands at the second time of asking. The goalkeeper then got down to make another sublime stop to avoid the impressive Youssef making it 1-0 at the Di Stéfano. In the closing stages, the Andalusian outfit took the pace out of the game and it went on to finish goalless.
