The defender replaced Theo Hernandez after the break and the forward was introduced in the 73rd minute in place of Dembelé. Mbappé came close to scoring after a great piece of play, but Canada's goalkeeper prevented him from making it 1-0. Tchouameni was an unused substitute for Deschamps.
