Valencia's emotional gesture of thanks to Real Madrid

In the pre-match build-up at the Mestalla, Valencia made an emotional show of gratitude to Real Madrid. Their captain Gayá presented Lucas Vázquez with a photo of the large Valencia flag that our club used at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium before the Milan match in a tribute to the victims of the floods. Real Madrid subsequently donated that flag to Valencia, who placed it on the Mestalla pitch in the first match played in this stadium following the floods.
“It was a great team performance and I hope we can keep playing like this," said the midfielder.
