January schedule: LaLiga, Copa, Spanish Super Cup and Champions to get 2025 underway
1 week(s)
Real Madrid are gearing up for a relentless schedule in the opening month of the year. Our team will play at least seven games in January across four different competitions - that figure could rise to nine should they qualify in the Copa del Rey and make the Spanish Super Cup final. Ancelotti's charges kick off 2025 with a trip to Valencia in the league for the clash which was postponed due to the DANA (3 January; 9:00pm CET).
Three days later, they'll play their Copa del Rey opener, the Round of 32 match against Deportiva Minera on the road. January 9 sees the third game of the year, and a third different competition, with the start of the Spanish Super Cup and a semi-final encounter with Mallorca. If Ancelotti's boys make it through, they'll play for the title in the finale hosted in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on January 12.
The third week of the new year could begin with the Copa Round of 16 (15-16 January), provided our boys have come through the previous round. On Sunday 19, LaLiga returns to the Santiago Bernabéu, where they host Las Palmas on matchday 20. Then, three days later, comes the home Champions League tie against Salzburg, before January concludes with two trips away from home. First up is a visit to Valladolid on 25 January, then to Brest on 29 January in the final clash of the top continental competition's opening phase.
