Austria, with Alaba as captain, drew at home against Serbia in the first leg of the play-off for promotion to League A of the Nations League. Gregoritsch put the home side ahead in the 37th minute and Samardzic equalised in the 62nd minute, the Madrid defender played the full 90. Everything will be decided in the second leg on Sunday in Serbia.
"There's still a lot of the season left to play and we're up for the rest of it," said the defender.
