Reserve team derby ends in a draw

4 day(s)

Real Madrid Castilla drew against Atlético B at the Ciudad Deportiva de Majadahonda. The derby began with a  in memory of the DANA victims and it was the home side who took the lead (24'). But before the end of the first half, Gonzalo made it 1-1 to secure a point for the Whites in the first game of November.
Atlético B struck first through Niño, who could have opened the scoring in a one-on-one against Fran González that our goalkeeper kept out with a magnificent save (8'). However, the Atlético player made no mistake in the 24th minute, when on this occasion he did beat the Madrid goalkeeper. Castilla were increasingly dominant in attack and, once we reached injury time, Gonzalo brought the score back to level terms when he finished off a great pass from Víctor following a fine team effort.
Goalless second half
After the break, Gonzalo tried again with a shot from inside the area that went wide (55'). Both teams exchanged blows, but without generating any clear danger. With eight minutes left on the clock, Víctor could have secured victory for our reserve team in a one-on-one with Iturbe but the keeper was able to deftly clear his shot. In the end, the points were shared at the Ciudad Deportiva de Majadahonda.
