Real Madrid Castilla picked up a point in the clash between the two academy sides, although they deserved to win all three against Betis Deportivo. Raúl’s side dominated the game throughout and in the second half, they were on top. The hosts were rewarded for their persistence in the 82nd minute when Lorenzo was quick to latch onto a rebound and fired the Whites ahead. But in the 87th minute, Destiny equalised for Betis against the run of play.

The game got off to a fast-paced start with a chance for Castilla, the clearest of the first half. A ball to Víctor Muñoz after four minutes and his shot from just inside the area forced Guilherme into a fine save. The Madridistas came close again seven minutes later with a cross from David Jiménez that found Gonzalo, but his header sailed just over. Raúl’s boys continued to create chances and in the 41st minute, they had the chance to open the scoring after a brilliant piece of play by Gonzalo, who beat a defender before his shot was pushed away by the visitors’ goalkeeper. Castilla had merited to score and in stoppage time they went close again when Youssef crossed and Víctor Muñoz's volley missed the target after striking a defender.

More chances for the hosts
After the restart, Raúl's side applied the pressure, carving out chance after chance. The clearest opportunity came in the 56th minute when Víctor Muñoz’s effort from inside the area went narrowly wide. It was complete domination and three minutes later Youssef’s cross struck the arm of Marcos and a penalty was awarded. However, Gonzalo's spot-kick was well saved by Guilherme.

Deadlock broken
The Madrid academy side were not having much luck in front of goal, but in the 82nd minute, they got their reward. Loren Zúñiga shot from the edge of the area, Guilherme could only parry the effort and Lorenzo got there ahead of the Betis Deportivo defence to make it 1-0. And just when it looked like Real Madrid Castilla would go on to win the game, Destiny equalised with a header in the 87th minute.
